How to Connect Quizell with Google Analytics
Introduction
Connecting Quizell with Google Analytics allows you to track how users interact with your quizzes. By sending quiz events to Google Analytics, you can monitor engagement, analyze user behavior, and identify opportunities to improve your quiz performance.
With this integration, you can track key metrics such as:
- Quiz views
- Quiz starts
- Question interactions
- Quiz completions
- Drop-off points
These insights help you better understand how users move through your quiz and where optimizations can increase conversions.
Step-by-Step Setup Guide
Step 1: Open the Integrations Page
- Log in to your Quizell dashboard.
- Navigate to the Integrations section.
- Locate Google Analytics in the list of available integrations.
- Click Connect or Set Up.

Step 2: Find Your Google Analytics Measurement ID
To connect Google Analytics, you’ll need your Measurement ID.
- Open your Google Analytics account.
- In the left sidebar, click Admin.
- Under your property, select Data Streams.
- Click the Web data stream you want to use.
- Copy the Measurement ID.
It will look similar to: G-XXXXXXXXXX
⚠️ Note: Quizell uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Universal Analytics tracking IDs (UA-XXXX) are no longer supported.

Step 3: Add Your Measurement ID in Quizell
- Return to the Google Analytics integration settings in Quizell.
- Paste your Measurement ID into the provided field.
- Click Save or Connect to complete the setup.
Your Google Analytics integration is now active.
Step 4: Verify the Connection
To confirm the integration is working correctly:
- Open your quiz and preview or publish it.
- Go to Google Analytics → Realtime Reports.
- Interact with your quiz (start it, answer questions, complete it).
- Check that activity appears in the realtime dashboard.
If events appear, the integration is successfully configured.
