How to Make Your Quiz Available in Any Language

Introduction



Providing your quizzes in multiple languages allows you to connect with international audiences, enhance user experience, and boost engagement. With Quizell’s translation feature, you can easily translate quiz content, notifications, and product details, ensuring a seamless experience for users across the globe. This article walks you through how to enable and manage translations step-by-step.

A. Finding the translation section



To access the translation feature:

Open the quiz you wish to translate.
Click the “Settings” button on the left-hand side of your screen.



In Theme Settings, click the “Translation” button.



Tip: You can also access this by navigating to Configuration > Translation

B. Setting your languages



Default Language



The default language is the primary language your visitors will see. Follow these steps to set it:

Click the “Add Default Language” button.

Select your default language (e.g., French) and click “Add Language”.



The translation interface will open, displaying the default language with a green tick icon.



**Adding Additional Languages**



To offer quizzes in multiple languages:

Click the “Add Language” button.

Select another language and click “Add Language”.



To change the default language, click the three dots next to the language and select “Set as Default Language”.



Note: You can add multiple languages based on your subscription plan:

Free: Not available – only default language
Lite: 1 language
Plus: Up to 3 languages
Pro: Up to 9 languages
Enterprise: Custom

Make sure your plan supports the number of languages you need before setting up translations.

Tip: If you need more languages than your current plan allows, consider upgrading to a higher-tier plan for expanded functionality.

C. Validating Translations



Notifications translation



Translations are automatically generated for all set languages.
Edit translations as needed by updating the text in the input fields.
Save your changes before moving to the next step.



Quiz Pages translation



To translate your quiz pages:

Select the desired language.

Navigate to the Quiz Pages

Click the “Translate your Quiz”



Review and validate the translated content.

Don’t forget to click “Save Changes”.



Products translation



The product translation setup depends on your store configuration:

For One Domain with Language Codes (e.g., www.myexamplestore.com/it):

Select the desired language.

Enter the Product Base URL (e.g., https://www.myexamplestore.com).

Add the Language Code (e.g., it).

Verify the generated target URL (e.g., https://www.myexamplestore.com/it/YourProductID).



For Different Domains (e.g., www.myexamplestore.it for Italy):

Select the language.

Enter the Product Base URL for the respective market (e.g., https://www.myexamplestore.it).

Translating your products in the languages will need a different approach based on your setup.



D. Advanced Setting: Embedding Quizzes in Multiple Languages



Quizell provides unique links for each language version of your quiz, ensuring seamless integration for multi-language websites.

How to Use:

Set Up Translations: Add your desired languages in the translation section.

Copy Language-Specific Links: Once saved, unique URLs for each language will be available.



Embed the Links: Use the appropriate language link on your website or Shopify store to match the user’s language preference.
