How to Embed a Quiz in Your Website's HTML Section

Introduction

Want to add your Quizell quiz directly to your website? Whether you’re embedding it in a landing page or triggering it as a popup, Quizell makes it simple. This guide walks you through the process of generating your embed code and placing it inside an HTML section on your site.

Step-by-Step Setup Guide

Step 1: Open the Share Tab

In your Quizell dashboard, open the quiz you want to embed.

From the left-hand menu, click the Share tab.

Step 2: Choose an Embed Type

In the Embed on a Webpage tab, choose how you want the quiz to appear:

Full Page: The quiz takes up the entire screen - ideal for standalone quiz pages.

In Page: Embeds the quiz within an existing section of your webpage.

Popup: Triggers the quiz in a modal window when an action is taken.

Greet Bar: A slim banner that appears at the top or bottom of the page with a CTA to open the quiz.

Floating Button: A persistent button that users can click to launch the quiz anytime.

To customize settings like colors or positioning, click Edit. Don’t forget to Save after making changes.

Step 3: Copy the Embed Code

Once your settings are ready:

Click Copy Code to copy the HTML snippet to your clipboard.

Step 4: Paste Into Your Website

Open the HTML section or file of your website where you want the quiz to appear.

Paste the embed code in the desired location.

💡 Your quiz will reflect any future edits made in Quizell - no need to update the code again.

Tips for Best Results

Mobile Responsiveness: Test your quiz on multiple screen sizes to ensure proper display.

Page Speed: Avoid placing multiple quizzes on a single page to maintain load times.

Branding Consistency: Use the embed editor to customize button color, fonts, and placement.
