How to Connect Quizell to Omnisend

Introduction


Integrating Quizell with Omnisend allows you to automatically sync quiz leads, grow your audience, and trigger targeted email and SMS campaigns — all without manual exports.

Once connected, every lead collected through your quizzes will flow directly into Omnisend, along with the quiz answers you choose to send.


This guide walks you through the setup step-by-step.


Step-by-Step Setup Guide


Step 1: Add the Omnisend Integration


  1. Log into your Quizell dashboard.
  2. From the left-hand menu, go to Integrations.
  3. Find Omnisend and click View Integration.
  4. On the integration page, click Connect.
  5. Select Authorize to Omnisend to begin the connection.



Step 2: Find and Add Your Omnisend API Key


  1. Log into your Omnisend account (or create one if you’re new).
  2. Click your account icon in the top-right corner and select Store settings.
  3. In the left menu, go to API Keys.
  4. Click Create API key and generate a new key.
  5. Copy it immediately

⚠️ Omnisend API keys can only be copied once at the moment of creation.

  1. Return to Quizell.
  2. Paste your API key into the API Key field and click Save.



Step 3: Finalize the Connection


  1. In Quizell, choose the quiz or quizzes you want to sync with Omnisend.
  2. Turn on the Omnisend integration toggle for each selected quiz.
  3. Click Save to complete setup.


🎉 You’re all set!

Your leads will now sync automatically to Omnisend, along with their quiz answers.



Step 4: Test the Integration


Testing ensures the connection is working correctly.


  1. Publish your quiz.
  2. Open the live version (the one your visitors see).
  3. Complete the quiz as a test user and submit your answers.
  4. Log in to Omnisend.
  5. Go to Audience → Contacts.
  6. Confirm that your test submission appears as a new contact.
  7. Open the contact record to verify that quiz answers were passed correctly.



Troubleshooting


Invalid API Key


  • Make sure the key was pasted correctly.
  • If the key was not copied during setup, generate a new one in Omnisend.


No leads syncing


  • Ensure the Omnisend toggle is turned on for the correct quiz.
  • Verify your quiz includes an email input field — Omnisend requires an email to create a contact.
  • Confirm your quiz is published.


Authorization errors


  • Try reauthorizing the integration from the Quizell Integrations page.
  • If issues continue, remove and reconnect the integration.
