# How to Add a Lead Input to Your Quiz

## **Introduction**

Lead inputs let you collect valuable user data (like names, emails, or custom fields) directly from quiz participants. This ensures you capture essential information for engagement, follow-up strategies, and personalization.

## **Step-by-Step Setup Guide**

### **Step 1: Open the Quiz Editor**

1. Log in to your **Quizell dashboard**.
2. Navigate to the **Quizzes** section.
3. Select the quiz you want to edit and open it.

### **Step 2: Add a Lead Page**

You can add lead inputs to your quiz at any point.

1. In the bottom-right corner of the editor, click the **“+” button**.

2. Select **Add a Lead Page**.

**Note:&#32;**Repeat this process if you’d like to add multiple lead pages throughout your quiz.

### **Step 3: Add and Configure a Lead Input**

1. On your newly created **Lead Page**, click the **Lead Input element** from the left-side menu.

2. Choose the type of input you want to add:
* Full Name
* Phone Number
* Email
* Date
* Website
* Organization
* **Custom Input Fields** (tailored to your needs)

### **Step 4: Customize Lead Input Settings**

1. Click the input field

2. Edit its settings, for example here:
* **Show Label** – toggle to display or hide the field label.
* **Required Field** – make the input mandatory before users can proceed.
* **Placeholder Text** – guide users with sample text (e.g., “Enter your email”).

### **Step 5: Adjust Style**

Tailor the look of your lead input to match your quiz design, with elements such as:
* **Text Color and Style** – adjust font type, size, and color.
* **Text Alignment** – left, center, or right alignment.
* **Spacing** – adjust padding and margins for better layout.

### **Step 6: Save Your Changes**

Once you’re done customizing, click **Save**. 

You’ve successfully added and configured a lead input page. This feature helps you gather important information while maintaining a smooth and engaging quiz experience.
